Weight management classes set for Sept. 14

Siloam Springs Memorial Hospital in conjunction with John Brown University will start weight management classes on Sept. 14. The 10-week course will be Mondays with classes at 2 p.m. or 6 p.m. at the Walton Lifetime Health Complex on the JBU campus.

There is a $20 fee for the course which is due before the first class. Payments may be mailed to: Siloam Springs Memorial Hospital, 205 E. Jefferson, Siloam Springs, AR 72761. Or, those interested may drop their payment off at Siloam Springs Memorial Hospital’s Dietary Office.

Please be prepared to provide current age, weight and height. This information is needed to calculate energy, protein and fluid needs.

Those with diabetes who would like to take the course will need a doctor’s written approval before enrolling.

During the class, participants can use the Walton Lifetime Health Complex for their exercise routines.
