Lunch and Learn set for Dec. 9

Siloam Springs Memorial Hospital’s Senior Circle Chapter will have a Lunch and Learn at noon on Wednesday, Dec. 9, at First United Methodist Church's Fellowship Hall, 325 E. Twin Springs St., in Siloam Springs. Shirley Van Vliet, infection control director at SSMH, will speak about handwashing and how to stay healthy over the holidays. Lunch and the event are free.

Van Vliet previously worked as clinical marketing liaison for HealthSouth Rehabilitation Hospital. She also has experience in intensive care, recovery (PACU) and home health nursing. Van Vliet earned her bachelor of science degree in nursing from Northeast Louisiana University which is now the University of Louisiana — Monroe.
